Tui Airways was the least punctual British airline in 2025, with UK departures delayed by an average of 20 minutes, according to Civil Aviation Authority data. The Birmingham to Zante route was the worst, averaging a 46-minute delay. Rory Boland from Which? Travel criticised the service, urging airlines to better support passengers. Tui Group’s Aage Dunhaupt emphasised efforts to improve punctuality. Scandinavian Airlines had the best performance, with an eight-minute delay average. CAA’s Tim Johnson highlighted the importance of minimising delays. Air India had the overall worst record, averaging a 36-minute delay.

They will be fuming in the marketing department at TUI. They are making great noise around the campaign featuring music by Jess Glynn, but you can’t polish a turd – can you?
