Foreign workers will have to reside in the UK for 10 years without claiming any kind of benefit before being able to apply for indefinite leave to remain under plan announced by the Tories on Wednesday. Tory leader Kemi Badenoch said that she would push for changes to the government’s immigration bill to double the current five-year threshold as part of her party’s latest bid to crack down on immigration.
