Dinner dates off menu for first-timers. Due to the cost of living crisis, singletons are abandoning traditional dinner dates, according to a study by Eventbrite. The poll found 60% preferred alternatives like gallery visits or walking tours as the typical meal for two, costing over £50, is inconsistent with the desired spend of less than £15.25 for a first meeting. The research also found 56% of women now prefer to split the bill on dates.
