Joe Biden has issued a “full and unconditional” pardon for his son Hunter, who was facing years in prison following his convictions for gun-related charges and tax evasion. The outgoing president, who had repeatedly pledged not to use his executive authority in this way, said Hunter had been “selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted” because of his family name.
