Tasmania is offering 10 unusual jobs to visitors during winter to boost tourism. Positions include an oyster organiser, paranormal investigator, stargazer and wombat walker. The jobs are unpaid, but successful applicants will receive all-expenses-paid trips, with the Tasmanian tourist board covering travel, food, and hotel costs. The initiative, only open to Australian citizens, is aimed at offering a break from the “daily grind”, according to Tourism Tasmania’s chief marketing officer, Lindene Cleary.
