A study involving nearly 90,000 UK adults found that “weekend warriors” who exercise only on weekends can lower their risk of over 200 health conditions as effectively as those who exercise throughout the week. The research, published in Circulation, emphasises that the total exercise amount is crucial. Dr Shaan Khurshid highlighted the benefits of weekend exercise for various diseases, noting significant risk reductions for conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes.
