Pret a Manger’s new children’s menu has more sugar than a packet of Haribo sweets, leading nutritionists to advise parents to view it as a “sweet treat” rather than a healthy lunch option. The yoghurt contains 7.9g of sugar per serving, more than 40 per cent of the recommended daily sugar intake for children aged four to six (19g) and 33 per cent for those aged seven to ten (24g). Pret’s new children’s menu includes sandwiches and other items, ranging from £1.50 to £2.99.
