Donald Trump has called on Sir Keir Starmer to eliminate wind farms in Scotland and instead prioritise North Sea oil extraction. The US President announced plans to meet the Prime Minister in Aberdeen, describing the city as the “oil capital of Europe.” Mr Trump claimed there is abundant oil in the North Sea and urged the UK Government to reinstate energy policies focused on oil extraction. He criticised wind farms for harming Scotland’s landscape ( is golf on the agenda here?). President Trump’s visit to Scotland in July will include meetings with Sir Keir and Scottish First Minister John Swinney.
